What 'advanced' means here
Advanced is a real skill gate, not a marketing tier. The advanced route includes terrain features — steeper hill climbs, narrower lines through dune bowls, longer descents on loose sand — that require active body control, predictive line-reading, and the ability to recover the bike from a slip without falling. We assess at the briefing on the day. If your handling doesn't match the route, the lead guide will downgrade you to the beginner lesson with a partial refund — better than putting you on a route you can't safely complete. We're strict about this because falls at advanced-route speed have a different injury profile than low-speed beginner-zone falls.
What's distinctive about the advanced route
- Half-day route (4 hours) covering 3-5 dune ridges with varied terrain.
- Longer hill climbs and longer descents than the beginner loop.
- Technical features — narrow lines, off-camber traverses, step-down drops.
- Multiple photo stops (no fixed schedule — guide picks based on light and dune shape).
- Smaller convoy size (2-4 riders + lead) so the lead can read each rider individually.
- Optional photographer add-on for documentation of the ride.
Experience verification — what we ask before booking
- How long have you ridden a motorbike?
- Have you ridden off-road or in soft sand before?
- Do you hold a current motorbike licence (any country)?
- Have you done body-armour-required riding (motocross, enduro)?
- Approximate frequency of riding in the last 12 months.
- Photo of your motorbike licence may be requested.
