Al Jazeera Tours gift voucher terms — 6-month validity from issue, single-use unless a balance is recorded, transferable before first use, refundable within 30 days, never re-validatable after expiry.

Validity

Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated on the voucher PDF. The expiry date is shown on the voucher itself. Once a voucher expires, the value cannot be re-validated automatically — we may extend by 30 days on case-by-case basis if you message us before expiry, but post-expiry extensions are not granted as a rule.

Redemption

Quote the unique alphanumeric voucher code on WhatsApp +971 52 440 9525 when making a booking. We apply the voucher value against the confirmed booking total. The voucher is single-use unless an explicit balance is recorded on the voucher PDF (rare — most vouchers redeem fully on first use). If the booking total exceeds the voucher value, the recipient pays the difference at the staging area in cash, card or bank transfer.

Transfer

Vouchers are transferable to a named recipient before first use. Once a voucher has been used (even partially), it cannot be transferred. Re-issuance to a different recipient is not supported. Mention transfer at the time you redeem; we update the booking record but not the original voucher PDF.

Refunds against vouchers

Within 30 days of voucher purchase, the voucher can be refunded to the original payment method on request — message us on WhatsApp with the voucher code and a brief reason. After 30 days, the voucher cannot be refunded but remains valid for redemption against any booking until the 6-month expiry. Refund processing follows the standard refund policy at /refund-policy/.

What vouchers DO NOT cover

  • Hot air balloon flights when operator-side cancellation rules apply (see /cancellation-policy/)
  • Outer-zone hotel pickup surcharges (Palm tip, Jebel Ali) above the standard pickup
  • Photographer add-on or branded merchandise drop charges
  • Alcoholic drinks at partner camps (cash on the day at the camp bar)
  • Tips for the lead guide, driver or camp staff (always optional, never bundled)

Lost or stolen vouchers

  • Voucher codes are unique and tracked internally
  • Lost voucher: WhatsApp us with the original purchase details (purchaser name, date, amount); we'll re-issue if the original code has not been redeemed
  • Stolen voucher: same flow; we cancel the original code and re-issue
  • We do not honour duplicate redemption attempts — first redemption wins

Pricing changes during voucher validity

If our published service prices change between the voucher purchase date and the redemption date, the voucher value still applies — but the booking total reflects the rate at redemption, not at purchase. Example: voucher of AED 800 purchased when 4-seater buggy was AED 800 will still cover a 4-seater booking even if the rate later moves to AED 850. The recipient pays the AED 50 difference.

Can I use a voucher with a combo or seasonal offer?
Generally yes, but voucher + combo + seasonal offer can't usually be stacked on the same booking — pick the better of the two. Mention at redemption and we'll confirm.
What happens if my voucher expires while I'm overseas?
Message us before expiry and we may grant a one-off 30-day extension. Post-expiry the voucher is final.
Can I split one voucher across multiple bookings?
Only if the voucher PDF explicitly records a balance. By default, redemption is single-use.
Are vouchers VAT-inclusive?
Voucher purchase price includes any applicable VAT at the date of issue. Redemption against a booking treats the voucher as a payment method, not a separate transaction.
