Payment Options

Cash, card and bank transfer — accepted payment methods at Al Jazeera Tours. Receipt via WhatsApp.

Al Jazeera Tours accepts cash on arrival, card on arrival (subject to terminal availability), and bank transfer for groups and corporate bookings. Each payment generates a WhatsApp receipt. No card surcharges, no hidden fees.

Accepted payment methods

  • Cash (AED) — accepted at all staging areas. Bring small notes if possible.
  • Card (Visa, Mastercard) — accepted at staging areas with a portable terminal; some staging areas may not have a terminal day-of, in which case we ask for cash or post-event bank transfer.
  • Bank transfer (UAE bank, AED) — used for group/corporate bookings, deposits, and post-event invoicing.
  • Foreign currencies — not accepted at the staging area; please convert at the hotel exchange or a local bureau before pickup.
  • Cryptocurrency — not accepted.
  • Travel-agent vouchers — accepted only if pre-arranged on WhatsApp before the booking date.

What you do NOT pay extra for

  • Card surcharge — same price whether you pay cash or card
  • Fuel surcharge — bundled into the rate
  • 'Desert entry fee' — not real, not charged
  • VAT — included in the displayed price for individual bookings; itemised separately on corporate invoices

When a deposit applies

Standard 30-min and 1-hour buggy/quad bookings: no deposit, pay on arrival. Premium bookings (Can-Am, hot air balloon, private safari, full-day combos, group bookings 12+): 20-30% confirmation deposit on WhatsApp before the date. The booking confirmation always tells you up-front whether your booking needs a deposit. We don't surprise guests at the staging area.

Receipts

Every payment generates a WhatsApp receipt — the message in your booking thread that confirms 'Paid AED [amount] on [date]' is your receipt. For corporate bookings we issue a formal invoice with VAT to the company email; the tax invoice arrives within 3-5 business days post-event. Cash payments at the staging area also receive a paper receipt on request.

Bank transfer details (provided on request)

  • Provided in the booking confirmation when bank transfer is the agreed method
  • UAE-domiciled corporate account in AED
  • Reference: include your booking name + date in the transfer reference
  • International transfers possible but slower — local UAE transfer is fastest
  • Confirmation: WhatsApp the bank receipt to us so we can match the payment

Payment FAQ

Will the card terminal definitely work on the day?
Usually yes; staging areas have working signal. If the terminal is down on the day we'll ask for cash or post-event transfer — never refuse the activity over a terminal issue.
Can I split payment between two cards or two people?
Yes at the staging area. Mention to the briefing team before the ride starts.
Do you accept Apple Pay / Google Pay?
Where the card terminal supports contactless, yes. Most do but not all.
Is tipping expected?
Never expected, always appreciated. AED 20-50 in cash to the lead guide / driver if you want to tip.
Do you keep my card details on file?
No — the card is read at the staging-area terminal and the data does not stay with us. We don't store card details for repeat bookings.
