Dirt Biking Dubai FAQ — Skill, Licence, Safety, Gear

Common questions about dirt biking in Dubai — skill requirement, licence, gear, age, refund. Updated 2026.

Dirt biking in Dubai is a manual-clutch motorbike on off-road desert routes — beginners take the lesson, advanced riders take the half-day expert ride. Full body armour, helmet, goggles, gloves and boots provided. Minimum age, exact bike model and ride length are confirmed at booking.

Who dirt biking is for in Dubai

Dirt biking is the most physically demanding of our six services. It is a manual-clutch off-road motorbike — not a twist-and-go like a quad. Riders who have ridden a motorbike before, even on tarmac, pick it up faster than complete first-timers, but the desert sand technique is its own skill: throttle control, body position, line choice on a soft surface that wants to wash out under you. We run beginner lessons for first-timers and half-day expert rides for riders who can already ride. Both are guided convoy — no self-drive without a guide is offered.

FAQ

Skill, gear and ride length

Do I need previous motorbike experience?
Not for the beginner lesson — it's built around first-timers. Advanced half-day routes require prior motorbike experience plus sand-riding awareness.
Is the lesson really suitable for absolute beginners?
Yes. The beginner lesson covers throttle, clutch, gear changes, body position, balance, and a controlled warm-up loop before any route work. Most absolute beginners ride the warm-up loop and a short controlled route by the end of the session.
What gear is included?
Full-face motorbike helmet, goggles, body armour (chest + back), knee braces, gloves, riding boots. We have sizing range; bring your own if you have a strong fit preference.
Is there a minimum age?
Confirmed at booking — depends on the bike-size and rider-weight match. Children under 16 are not put on adult enduros; we route to a smaller youth-trim bike or recommend quad biking instead.
What's the maximum age?
No fixed maximum, but the physical demand (heat + armour + bike weight) means we ask anyone over 60 to confirm at the briefing they're comfortable, and we route to the gentler beginner lesson rather than the half-day route.
FAQ

Booking and logistics

How do I book?
WhatsApp +971 52 440 9525 or call +971 50 496 8087. Booking team confirms ride length, gear sizing, pickup zone and date.
Is hotel pickup included?
Pickup from most Dubai zones included. Remote zones (distant Sharjah, Jebel Ali Free Zone) carry a transfer surcharge.
What time of day are lessons?
Mornings (cooler) and late afternoons (golden hour) are the standard slots. Mid-day rides paused in summer due to heat.
Can I bring my own bike?
No — every booking uses our fleet bikes. Bringing your own would require separate insurance and DTCM clearance which we do not process.
What if I crash the bike?
Falls are expected on dirt biking. Body armour and pace control minimise injury. Damage liability is discussed at booking — base fee covers fair-wear; rider-error repair costs are discussed before vehicle release.
FAQ

Refund, cancellation, weather

Can I cancel?
Standard cancellation policy applies — see /cancellation-policy/. Dirt-bike specific lead times stated on the confirmation.
What if I show up and decide I'm not comfortable?
If you can't ride after the warm-up loop and the lead guide agrees, the unused portion of the session can be refunded — depends on cancellation timing.
What about weather?
Heavy rain or sandstorm pauses dirt-bike sessions for safety. Operator reschedules at no charge.
Do you do private one-on-one lessons?
Yes — quoted separately. Private lesson pacing is set to your skill rather than a group average.
