Why JBR pickup is different from Marina
JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) is a beachfront strip with restricted vehicle access along The Walk during peak hours and weekend evenings. Unlike Marina towers where the driver can pull into a side drop-off lane, JBR towers often require guests to walk 2-3 minutes to a designated meeting point — typically Murjan, Sadaf, Bahar or Rimal access points or one of the marked entry lanes off Al Mamsha Street. We send a Google Maps pin on WhatsApp the day before so you know exactly where to meet.
Common JBR meeting points
- Murjan towers entrance (south end of The Walk) — easiest access from cars
- Bahar towers ground level (mid-Walk) — short walk from beachfront restaurants
- Sadaf towers (north end) — closest to Marina border
- Rimal towers (mid-Walk) — usually the busiest pickup window
- Al Mamsha Street parking entry on the SZR side — non-Walk towers
- Bluewaters causeway entrance (separate from JBR proper) — for guests staying on Bluewaters
Drive time from JBR to staging area
- Off-peak (10:00-15:00): 40-50 min
- Sunset pickup (~15:00-16:30): 45-60 min
- Evening peak (17:00-19:30): 55-75 min — SZR jam
- Late evening (20:00+): 40-50 min
Restricted-vehicle hours on The Walk
The Walk along JBR has restricted vehicle access during weekend afternoons and evenings (typically Friday-Sunday from 16:00). On those days, the driver waits at a marked access lane and the meeting point is non-negotiable — we can't drive directly to your tower. On weekdays the access is more flexible but still requires the side-lane approach. Plan to come down 5 minutes early on weekend bookings; the meeting point can be 2-3 minutes' walk from your tower.
