What 'VIP premium' actually means
Most operators stick a 'VIP' label on standard products with marketing copy. We use VIP to mean three concrete upgrades: a private buggy convoy that runs your group only (not mixed with other bookings), a private table at a premium partner camp (not the shared communal seating), and a premium menu (sit-down service, not buffet line). Anything else marketed as VIP without these three concrete differences is not what we mean. The price reflects the actual operational cost of running a small private convoy and securing private camp space.
What's included in the VIP combo
- Private buggy convoy — your group only, no shared booking
- Choice of buggy model (Can-Am Maverick X3 most commonly chosen)
- Lead guide assigned to your group exclusively
- Premium camp partner — different staging from the standard camp
- Private table with table service (not buffet)
- Premium menu — multi-course sit-down dinner
- Welcome drinks (non-alcoholic) on arrival at camp
- Photographer add-on commonly bundled in this tier (separately quoted)
- Hotel pickup in air-conditioned SUV; private vehicle, not shared shuttle
Who books VIP
Three audiences. First, special-occasion bookings — anniversaries, proposal trips, milestone birthdays. Second, corporate hosting — VIP client entertainment where the hosting team needs predictable quality and privacy. Third, repeat guests who've done the standard safari and want a meaningfully different experience the second time. We do not push VIP as a default upsell because for most first-time guests the standard buggy + safari experience is already good. VIP makes sense when privacy and pace matter to you.
Group size logic
- VIP couples (2 guests) — premium camp private table, single buggy session
- VIP small group (4-6 guests) — 2-3 buggies, table for the group
- VIP family (4-8 guests) — premium camp private area, age-flexed buggy plan
- VIP corporate (10-30 guests) — private camp section, dedicated host, multiple buggy waves
Why VIP is quote-based
Group size, premium camp choice (we have two partner camps with different price lines), buggy model choice, photographer add-on, and any custom touches (engagement-shoot setup, anniversary cake, custom menu adaptations) all change the line items. We quote the actual booking, not a generic VIP bundle. Quotes come back with each line shown so you can see what's driving the number.
