What 'VIP premium' actually means

Most operators stick a 'VIP' label on standard products with marketing copy. We use VIP to mean three concrete upgrades: a private buggy convoy that runs your group only (not mixed with other bookings), a private table at a premium partner camp (not the shared communal seating), and a premium menu (sit-down service, not buffet line). Anything else marketed as VIP without these three concrete differences is not what we mean. The price reflects the actual operational cost of running a small private convoy and securing private camp space.

Who books VIP

Three audiences. First, special-occasion bookings — anniversaries, proposal trips, milestone birthdays. Second, corporate hosting — VIP client entertainment where the hosting team needs predictable quality and privacy. Third, repeat guests who've done the standard safari and want a meaningfully different experience the second time. We do not push VIP as a default upsell because for most first-time guests the standard buggy + safari experience is already good. VIP makes sense when privacy and pace matter to you.

Why VIP is quote-based

Group size, premium camp choice (we have two partner camps with different price lines), buggy model choice, photographer add-on, and any custom touches (engagement-shoot setup, anniversary cake, custom menu adaptations) all change the line items. We quote the actual booking, not a generic VIP bundle. Quotes come back with each line shown so you can see what's driving the number.

What's the minimum group size?

Two guests (couple) is the minimum. Single-guest VIP doesn't make economic sense — recommended to upgrade a standard booking instead.

Can the camp be fully private?

Fully private camp (your group is the only booking) is possible at one of the two premium partners — much higher cost. Private-area within a partner camp is more common and cheaper.

Are alcoholic drinks served?

Premium camp partner serves non-alcoholic only as standard. Alcohol service depends on partner camp's licence — not all partner camps serve alcohol; the ones that do charge separately.

Is the buggy session longer in VIP?

Same operational session length (60-90 min) but private convoy means no waiting between rotations and the lead guide can pace to your group's level.

Can I propose at the camp?

Yes — operations team coordinates ring, sunset timing, photographer arrangement. Mention at quote time so we plan the moment.

How far ahead should I book VIP?

5-10 days minimum because premium camp slots are limited. Major holidays (NYE, Eid, National Day) fill 2-4 weeks ahead.
