Why couples book the safari over the buggy or quad
The desert safari beats the buggy and quad for couples on three points. First, you ride together side-by-side as passengers in the Land Cruiser — no driver/passenger split. Second, the sunset stop is a real photo opportunity with no helmet, no goggles, and clean clothes. Third, the camp evening adds a 3-4 hour sit-down dinner experience that the buggy and quad don't include. The trade-off: you don't drive — the safari is passenger-only. If active driving is the point of the trip, look at the buggy or quad. If the experience and the photos are the point, the safari is the right pick.
Couples-specific safari options
- Sunset photo stop on the dune crest — the standard slot for evening safari.
- Private table at the camp — request at booking; available on most evenings if camp partner has the configuration.
- Premium menu upgrade — pay-on-the-day option if the camp offers it.
- Photographer add-on — opt-in only, not bundled.
- Henna design with the partner's name — free at the camp henna station.
- Pair with a buggy or quad combo — couples often add a 30-min buggy or quad ride at the staging area before the camp evening.
Proposal and anniversary safaris
If you're proposing or celebrating an anniversary, mention it on the WhatsApp booking message. We can arrange the dune-bashing 4x4 to stop at a private dune crest before the main convoy continues to the camp, give you 5-10 minutes alone for the moment, and signal the camp to seat you privately when you arrive. We can also coordinate a champagne toast (BYO bottle — we don't sell alcohol but it can be brought) and an early-arrival photographer if you book the photographer add-on. We don't bundle a fixed 'proposal package' because every proposal is different — we'd rather plan it on a private message.
