What we offer schools
School desert trips work as supervised group bookings sized for the age range of the students. We run two main models: (1) primary-school visits — short kids quad zone session on the supervised compound + camel intro + camp evening with kid-portion meals, ages 6-11. (2) Secondary-school visits — extended buggy or quad ride for confident teen riders + camp evening + cultural / desert ecology talk by the lead guide, ages 13-18. We do not run dirt biking with school groups (skill gate). Hot air balloon school trips are case-by-case (operator side, age and weight gates apply).
Operational standards for school groups
- Supervision ratio: minimum 1 teacher per 8 students for primary; 1 per 12 for secondary. Teachers ride at no extra charge above ratio.
- Parental consent: signed consent form per student covering activity participation, photo/video usage, medical disclosure. We supply a template; the school distributes and collects.
- Student manifest: full list with name, age, parent/guardian contact, medical conditions (allergies, asthma, recent injury) — submitted 48 hours before the trip.
- On-day briefing: sized for age range. Primary school = visual demos + parent/teacher walkthrough. Secondary = standard adult briefing.
- First-aid kit + lead guide first-aid trained on every convoy.
- Closed-toe shoes mandatory for every student — same as adult bookings.
- No alcohol at the camp portion for school bookings — partner camp coordinates a dry evening for school groups.
Activity options by age group
- Primary (ages 6-11): kids ATV supervised zone + camel intro + camp evening. Buggy 4-seater family ride is available with parent supervision (1:1 ratio).
- Secondary (ages 13-18): adult quad single-seater under guide supervision (skill assessment at briefing) OR safari 4x4 passenger ride with full camp evening.
- University (18+): standard adult bookings; choose any service.
- Mixed-age groups: split convoy by age band; coordinator manages the parallel groups.
