What desert events we coordinate
Three event categories: (1) proposals — sunset buggy ride with paused photo stop, optional photographer, champagne toast at the staging area. (2) Vow-renewal or small wedding ceremonies — partner camp setup with private table, optional officiant coordination, photographer, dinner. (3) Wedding photo shoots — pre/post-wedding photography sessions in the dunes with professional photographer, hair/makeup retouching staging, multiple outfit changes. We don't operate a wedding-planning business — we provide the desert venue and activity. You bring the planner, photographer, officiant, and any catering specifics outside the partner camp's standard menu.
Proposal package options
- Sunset buggy proposal: 30-min 2-seater buggy at golden hour with paused photo stop on the dune crest. AED 300+ for the buggy + optional photographer add-on.
- Sunset Can-Am proposal: same idea with the AED 999 Can-Am Maverick X3 — sportier feel, more dramatic photo set.
- Camel + sunset proposal: sunset camel ride on the dune crest, slower pace, traditional setting.
- Camp dinner proposal: surprise reveal at the partner camp's private table after a desert safari. Coordinator engaged for the staging.
- Hot air balloon sunrise proposal: balloon flight with a moment at altitude. Operator partner side; slot dependent.
Wedding ceremony / vow renewal — what we handle vs what you bring
- We handle: partner camp booking with private section, dinner setup, transportation for guests from a designated meeting point, lead guide for the convoy ride to the camp, optional dune-bashing or buggy session for guests.
- You bring: officiant (if a religious ceremony), legal documentation (UAE wedding certificate is handled outside the desert, not on-site), wedding planner, dress / suit, music system if you want non-camp music, custom catering above the partner camp menu, decoration materials.
- Permit logic: large gatherings (50+ guests) at some Dubai desert camps require an event permit through the camp partner. We coordinate the application as part of the quote; lead time 4-6 weeks for permit-required events.
Photo shoot logistics
- Sunrise or sunset slot: best photo light. Specific timing depends on month — confirmed at booking.
- Vehicle access for photographer: 4x4 transport for the photographer + assistant from the staging area to the shoot location.
- Multiple outfit changes: staging area has a small private changing area; we coordinate transport between locations if needed.
- Permit for commercial shoots: wedding shoots above commercial / film-shoot threshold require a separate permit through the relevant Dubai authority. Mention 'commercial use' at booking; we'll explain the threshold.
- Drone use: drones require separate UAE GCAA permission. We do not operate drones; you bring your own permitted operator if needed.
What we don't do
We do not operate a full wedding-planning service. We do not provide officiants, legal documentation processing, or post-wedding video production. We do not handle hotel-side reception bookings. We focus on the desert portion of your event — the venue, the activity, the camp dinner, the photo logistics inside the desert. For full-package wedding planning, partner with a Dubai wedding planner; we'll coordinate with them on the desert leg.
